Privacy policy

1. Who we are. Bend Beauty Inc. ("Bend", "we") sells nutritional supplements at bendbeauty.com. We're based at 1592 Barrington Street, 4th Floor, Halifax, NS B3J 0C7, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

• Contact and account details: name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses, account login.
• Order and subscription details: products bought, subscription plan and renewal dates, order history.
• Payment details: processed securely by our payment processors. We don't store full card numbers.
• Quiz and Ritual Report answers: if you take our Find Your Ritual quiz, we collect your answers (for example, skin, sleep, digestion and energy goals) and, if you ask for your report, your email address. Some answers relate to your health and wellness. We use them only to create your report and recommendations, and we ask for your consent before collecting them.
• Reviews and testimonials: what you write in a review, and photos you choose to share.
• Messages: what you send us by email, chat or contact forms.
• Device and usage information: IP address, browser, pages viewed, and similar data collected through cookies and similar technologies (section 6).

3. How we use it. To process and ship orders and subscriptions; send order, shipping and renewal notices; create your Ritual Report; answer questions and handle returns; send marketing emails or texts if you've agreed to receive them (unsubscribe anytime); improve our site and products; prevent fraud; and meet legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with. We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted third-party service providers that help us run our business, and only what they need to do their job. These providers help us:

• host our online store, accounts and checkout, and process payments;
• manage subscriptions and renewals;
• send emails and texts, including your Ritual Report;
• collect and display product reviews;
• pack and deliver your orders;
• understand how our site is used and show relevant ads, only with your consent where required.

These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. They are required by contract to keep it confidential and protect it with safeguards comparable to ours.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

5. Where it's stored. Our providers may store and process information in Canada, the United States and other countries. Information stored outside your province or country may be accessible to authorities there under local law.

6. Cookies and tracking. We use essential cookies to run the store (cart, checkout, login). With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies and choosing again in the banner, or by contacting us. Visitors in Quebec: tracking that can identify, locate or profile you is off unless you turn it on.

7. How long we keep it. As long as you're a customer and as needed for the purposes above, then as required by law (for example, tax records). Quiz answers are kept for 3 years after your last visit, then deleted or anonymized.

8. Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, or opt out of marketing. Quebec residents can also ask for their information in a portable format and be told about decisions made solely by automated processing. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can request to know, delete or correct their information and opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing" through Your Privacy Choices. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer (section 11); we may need to verify your identity.

9. Security. We use technical, administrative and physical safeguards, and our providers do too. No system is 100% secure; please keep your account password private. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll notify you and the relevant regulators as the law requires.

10. Children. Our site and products are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

12. Changes. We'll post updates here with a new date, and email customers about significant changes.
